It is the best example of a fortified city built by European in South and South East Asia, showing the interaction between European architectural styles and South Asian tradition.
This Dutch fort is surrounded by the sea in 3 sides and land side by the rampart. They believed that the seaward side was impregnable and hence did not construct any fortifications on the sea side. The sea wall was an addition made in 1729 to make the city planning for defense purposes complete an all respects. Other land marks of Galle are Dutch Hospital, Dutch reformed church (Groote Kerk), all saints’ church, Maritime museum.

After the Breakfast, we prepare to visit Madu River. Madu River is located in Balapitiya, close to Sri Lanka southern coastal belt. This wetland spreads over 900 hectares of area and most of it covered with water. There are totally 64 islands in Madu River. Madu River Cruise, This exciting river cruise takes you through a 32 km experience in through the Madu River where you will have the opportunity to see birds, perhaps crocodiles and mangroves. Lunch on river boat depended on the time.
This tour will take around 1.5 to 2 hours and it’s advisable to bring drinking water, Sunglasses and hats. Some boats have adjustable roofing covers. During your boat ride, you can see huge mangrove forest by the river banks. Boats will ride under short tunnel, which is made out of mangrove. You can see many birds and animals those are living in this aquatic environment.
Fish Therapy Different types of fish are put in to tanks, which are floating on the river. Visitors can immerse their feet to these tanks and fish stats biting. You will feel ticklish when they nibble your dead skin on the feet.

Tissamaharama is one of the most pleasant towns in the southern coast and it visited mainly in view of it being the gateway to the Yala national park. ‘Tissa’ as it is affectionately called, in its own right, is a major cultural and nature attraction.
Three ancient stupas and two ancient irrigation reservoirs make Tissamaharama worth touring. On the northern side, the town is bounded by lovely expanses of paddy fields. In the middle of the paddy fields is the Santagiri or Sandagiri dagoba, the largest stupa in Tissamaharama. In the evening we visit Yala national park which is the second largest national park in Sri Lanka, Yala is situated in the Southeast part of the island in the dry, semi-arid climate region, bordering the Indian Ocean. The number of mammals recorded at Yala is as high as 44 while it also boasts of one of the highest leopard densities in the world. None other than the majestic Sri Lankan elephant and the leopard take pride of place at this amazing national park.

Ravana Waterfall
It is on the Ella –Wellawaya road and visible from the main road. Although the main drop is 30 ft in height, it’s a wide fall and the water rushes over several steps adding to its beauty. Ravana falls is closely linked in legend with the great epic of Ramayana. The cave behind the waterfall is one of the places that Ravana hid Princess Sita after abducting her from India. Although it is comparatively shorter than most waterfalls, it has a wide flow of water and is quite beautiful to look at.

We can departure to Nuwara eliya from the hotel after breakfast. We can visit Adisham Bungalow en-route.
The Adhisam bungalow was built in 1931 by an English planter by the name of Sir Thomas Villiers who was the former Chairman of the George Stuart Company. Today this bungalow has been converted to a monastery where it is maintained by the Congregation of St Sylvester. This early bungalow rich with history and olden stories is established in the Haputale city in Bandarawela.
Adisham bungalow is made up in a typical British architecture with worn brick illustrating the house from the outside. The sophisticated staircase is ornamented with portraits of Sir Thomas’s. The garden gives the multi-colored refined add-on to the property with its chic British layout. The lawns are terraced, flowerbeds outlining the borders of the house and orchards. The drawing-room, study, library, dining rooms and bedrooms all over look soaring mountain ranges that stretch between 1800 to 2100m above sea level. This scope of mountainous land, engrave the skyline forming a mysterious outline known as the Sleeping Warrior.
Nuwara Eliya or City of Light is the tea capital of Sri Lanka at an altitude of 1889 m and is the most visited hill station of the island.
No wonder, since it means a break from the oppressive heat and humidity that surrounds the rest of Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya also called as ‘Little England’ has a pleasant climate. The average temperature is 15°C (60°F). February and March has much cooler temperature where it could drop up to 8°c (46°f).
Nuwara Eliya was built entirely during the 19th century and its architecture mimics that of an English country town, with red-brick walls, country house like hill club and mock-Tudor half-timbering, Colonial villas, Rose gardens, 18 holes golf course and country-club-styled hotels are the perfect background for an unforgettable stay. Pinnawala is the most popular and accessible place to see large numbers of these lovable animals in a natural habitat. Negombo is the Dutch captured the town from the Portuguese in 1640. It is referred as ‘little Rome’. The town is dotted with shrines and churches as a majority of Negombo population is Roman Catholic. St. Mary’s church, built in 1874 the biggest of them all is worthy of a visit.
